Chant Mass Propers for Sundays and Major Feasts
Transcribed in Proportional Rhythm
The Schola Antiqua has transcribed all the Mass Propers for the Sundays and major feasts of the liturgical year, some 13–14 hours worth of music. Most of the proportional rhythm and ornaments were taken from MS Laon 239, c. 930; in most cases, the pitches were drawn from the 12th-century MS Graz 807. The music ranges from difficult to very difficult, but it is all magnificent. For information on the nature and availability of these Mass Propers, please e-mail R. John Blackley at email@example.com.
